Papers under this subtheme should focus on the methods used to develop internal and external quality assurance systems. Presenters may focus on:
- How internal and external quality assurance systems complement each other can be seen as opposing forces?
- how stakeholder acceptance may impact on the effectiveness of both systems;
- how internal stakeholders may affect the effectiveness of internal quality assurance mechanisms;
- how can internal quality assurance mechanisms be used to address issues related to increasing student numbers?
- Of relevance also would be the role of government and governance in the development of internal and external quality assurance mechanisms.
